Yet, like the Israelites who lost sight of why they were in the wilderness andforgot the joy of being led by the God who had freed them, I forgot thereason why I came. I lost the joy of walking with God in the present andfound myself longing for the past.. - P55
No matter where we are in our life‘s journey, we all face moments of discouragement when we feel disconnected from our past. This is particularlyhard when the present feels like a barren wilderness. - P55
While nostalgia isnatural, we must remember that God has a purpose for where He places us. - P55
Let us open our eyes to what He is a preparing for us. Instead of dwelling onwhat was or what might have been, let us press forward with hope, trustingin God‘s plans for us and through us! - P55
