But God never asked him to care for the people alone and in his ownstrength. Even a great leader remains human, with all the limitations thatcome with our nature. - P58

This is a reminder that they do not need to return to their former life of slavery; God has everything they need and the power to provide it. God’s response also reflects His sorrow and righteous anger at the people’s rejection of Him. - P58

When Moses expresses his doubts, God responds, "Now you will see." Where we struggle to fully trust in Him, God reminds us that He is our Creator and the almighty God who provides, cares for, and disciplines His people. - P58

At a critical time in his church‘s growth, Keller began tofeel overburdened with all his ministry tasks. So, he decided to find peoplethat could take much of the burden off of him. This example has biblical precedence. Back in the Early Church, the apostles found themselves in a similar situation - P63
In Acts 6, we read about howthe apostles had to divide their time between teaching the Word and servingtheir community with works of charity. So, they decided that they neededothers who could focus on providing material help to the vulnerable whilethey themselves continued to focus on teaching the Word. - P63
Leaders sometimes feel that seeking help means they are doing poorly. But it is necessarythat one person not take it on themselves to care for the needs of everyoneelse. - P63
Even Jesus chose people to assist Him during His earthly ministry. Donot be afraid to ask for help; God may have already placed people aroundyou for that purpose. - P63
