입이 근질근질하던 게 풀렸는지 간호사는 레이토에게 끄덕 목례를 건네고 자리를 떴다.
병원도 경찰도 힘들겠구나, 라고 레이토는 생각했다. 응급환자나 사건사고는 때와 장소를 가리지 않고 발생하니까.
불빛이 꺼진 로비에 가 보니 이곳은 휴대전화 사용이 가능한 것 같았다. 맨 끝 의자에 앉아 사카가미 가족에게 전화가 오기를 기다렸다.
