* This is my son’s review for ’Last Apprentice #6: Clash of the Demons.’

     Joseph Delaney, 393 pages, Fantasy

(2) When and where the story takes place. Also choose one important character from this book.
     This story takes place in Greece. The Ordeen is an important character in this story. She is one of the old gods. She is controller of fire. Her true form is a giant, flaming salamandr. She was banished by Lamia. 

(3) Briefly summarize the main events of the story.
     In the beginning of this story, Tom gets a letter from his mam requesting his immediate help. Next, Tom goes with all his allies to Greece. When he arrives, he finds out that a god/bad called The Ordeen is aout to be unleashed. So, Tom goes on a quest to stop it. First, Tom, Grimalkin and some other people go and give some of Tom's blood to the Ordeen so she is weakened. Then, Tom fights the Ordeen. When all is weapons were gone, his mam came in and told him to go. In the end, they go back to the county.

(4) On a scale of one to five, how would I compare this book to others I have read?
     It’s ’5.’ I would recommend this book because it says thing like "not to be read after dark, especially page ---" on the back of the book.

     Joseph Delaney, 487 pages, Fantasy

(2) When and where the story takes place. Also choose one important character from this book.
     This story takes place at Anglezarke. Tom Ward is a very important character in this story. He is 13 years old. He is the seventh son of a seventh son. He killed the Bane. He banished Golgoth. 

(3) Briefly summarize the main events of the story.
     In the beginning, the Spook takes his apprentice, Thomas Ward, to his winter house in Anglezarke. Then, at the house, Thomas meets Meg, a Lamia witch. But, she doesn’t know that she is. A short while after, Tom finds out that his father died. So he goes to his father’s tomb and prays. But at the tomb, Tom meets a mysterious man that has his father’s soul in limbo, a bad place. Shortly after, Tom gets kidnapped by the same man, and is taken to the Round Loaf, the alter of Golgoth, the lord of winter. Next, he summoned Golgoth, but got killed by Golgoth. Golgoth was going to kill Tom but he ran out of power and died. In the end, Tom and the Spook go back to their summer home. 

(4) On a scale of one to five, how would I compare this book to others I have read?
     It’s ’5.’ I would recommend this book to people who stand very scary books. 

Curse of the Bane (Book 2)

(1) About this book.
     Joseph Delaney, 453 pages, Fantasy

(2) When and where the story takes place. Also choose one important character from this book.
     This story takes place in Priestown. Alice is a very important character in this story. She is a  young witch. She can heal people. She is benign. She is Tom’s friend.

(3) Briefly summarize the main events of the story.
     In the beginning, the Spook’s brother died. Then, Tom and the Spook go to Priestown. After that, the Quistor, a very retarded guy, captures the Spook. Then, the Quistor holds a trial for the Spook, and sentences him to burning. But next, Thomas rescues him, and together they face the Bane. First, the Spook gets knocked out. Then Tom uses a silver claggers and kills the Bane. In the end, the Spook and Tom go back to there old town.

(4) On a scale of one to five, how would I compare this book to others I have read?
     It’s ’5.’ I would recommend this book because of all the scary characters like the Bane.

(1) About this book.
     Joseph Delaney, 340 pages, Fantasy

(2) When and where the story takes place. Also choose one important character from this book.
     This story takes place in a town called Chipenden. The Spook is a very important character in this story. He is the person who drives away bad guys. His name sounds evil but he is good. He has green eyes, a black cloak, a staff made of rowan wood, and a white beard. His apprentice is Thomas Ward.

(3) Briefly summarize the main events of the story.
     In the beginning, the Spook takes in Thomas Ward as his apprentice. Then, the Spook tells (and shows) Tom about different boggarts and Witches. After that, he shows him mother Malkin, the most dangerous witch ever. Then, Tom meets a village girl called Alice. She gives him three cake to feed mother Malkin. So he does. But then, he finds out that the cakes make mother Malkin stronger. On the first cake, she bent the bars on her cage and went out. But then, he kills her with rowan wood. But she used her dead body and took control of the pig owner. He was about to kill a baby but Alice kicks him and knocks him out. So mother Malkin had to come out. The pigs ate her in the end. 

(4) On a scale of one to five, how would I compare this book to others I have read?
     Absolutely, it’s ’5.’ I would recommend this book to people who like creepy stuff like dead bodies oozing around.
