I started to collect the series since a couple of my friends brought it to attention that it was a best seller, and boy, was I disappointed. The art is very 1980ish, and the story is somewhat corny. It has some of that City Hunter elements, where the main character loves to be with a girl no matter the circumstances. I found it to be a little humorous, but after the 15th issue, I had to stop.

Rurouni Kenshin is a comic about a swords man who's given up his way of killing and now instead is trying to wield his sword in order to save lives. Kenshin and his powerful 'Bichunuhgum ryu' style is unstoppable in his adventures. The story gets very exciting in the middle of the series when he faces 'Shishio Makoto' but it fades out rapidly after introduction of Kenshin's past.

It may deserve the highest mark of 5 stars, but as mentioned before by another fan, the ending is very weak, and another turn off might be his nature of copying different characters from American comics. However, overall, an excellent work

Tsukasa Hojo's best and most famous work, City Hunter was one of the most read comicbooks of the early 90's. It's in an omnibus format, and there are lots of dirty humor, which can turn you off. However, when Ryo, who's a hired gun only willing to work for females, gets serious, there is no stopping him. Hojo's realistic style is at a level where it can't be touched. Often silly, gets serious around issue 30-35. Although it didn't catch my heart until the end, I believe this is a must for a comic fans every where.

Kentarou Miura's epic is an incredible work of art! Although it's not suited for those under 19, this series published by DAEWON is very closely kept to the original with a reasonably sensored format. The art steadily improves as the series goes on. The Hero 'Gatsu''s struggle against demon force- the god's hand keeps you on your toes.

Not just a gory comic without a point, Miura's Berserk is very human, with emotionally charged war field well depicted.
