I's is a romantic comedy of sorts with lots of Katsura flavor. The art is exceptional, as clean and sharp a comic can get. The story is also very involving, often having the reader to be able to relate to any of the characters. Although extremely censored, perhaps not for kids. However, it drags on for very long on one subject, which is the main character 'Ichitaka's confession'.

The story is about a highschooler 'Ichitaka',who has had a crush on a beautiful popular girl from the same school named 'Iori'. Ichitaka can't show his true heart but leaves all the wrong impressions on her. And then there comes a girl who loved him since their childhood... Itsuki moves into his house!......

Fujisawa's 'Banhang haji ma' also known as 'G.T.O', is very popular among young readers. This version published by hak san reads from left to right, so the art is mirrored, and loses some in the process. A master of facial expressions, Fujisawa renders some of the most eyepopping faces. It starts out really funny and interesting, but due to the comic's nature, loses it's freshness as the series goes on.

The story is about a gangster-turned-teacher who changes the most volitile class of a private junior highschool. He's provocative and straight forward ways somehow always finds a solution against various obsticles including other teachers.

Mr. Lim's Jjang must be considered one of the most exciting school duke'em out yet. His art improves dramatically as the series is carried out, topping out around issue 10. I think the story only gets better after the artist taking over the writing portion as well. One thing that made me stop short of 5 stars is that in Mr.Lim's obvious concern for young readers worshiping the characters and trying to immitate them, he puts too much emphasis on parental and educational care, which makes it somewhat corny.

The story is about main character 'Hyun Sang Tae' and his often involuntary fights against rival 'fighters' from his and other schools through out the city of Inchon. His girlfriend grows tired of his seemingly endless attraction to fights, leaves him. In short, it is a story about true strong young men trying to become bosses of their peers.

Kia Asamiya is an awesome artist, but personally I don't care for his story telling and Silent Mobius is no exception. Kia Asamiya is known for his screen tone applying skills, and sharp and delicate lines, but again, his drawings are often hard to understand. The art is nevertheless great. I think the story lacks however, in that it cannot grasp the reader. It couldn't for me anyway. The story is about a band of female occult fighters who police the demons that uprise to attack civilians.

Mamoru Nagano has devoted good part of his life to create this fantasy, the Five Star Stories. It is outstanding in its wild imagination, the detailed mechanics and interesting characters. While not for every reader, it fits the mania's taste extremely well, and a must read for those who are looking to really get into comic books.

Mamoru Nagano is generally considered one of the best mecha-designers in Japan and this is THE work to represent himself. Out standing collection of Robots, intriguing plot and one and only. Very perverse and gory, with aritist's fetishism showing maybe a little too much.
