Jelly Toast Lab Activity

잼 바른 식빵

Purpose: The purpose of this lab was to see if the toast lands jelly side up or down.

목적: 이 실험의 목적은 식빵에 잼을 발라 떨어뜨렸을 때 잼을 바른쪽이 위로 향하게 떨어지는가 아니면 아래쪽으로 향하게 떨어지는가를 알아보는 것이였다.

Hypothesis: If you put less jelly, then it will land jelly side up.

가설: 만약 잼을 조금만 바른다면, 잼을 바른쪽이 위로 향하게 떨어질 것이다.

Materials:

필요한 물건:

-Piece of toast

식빵 한조각

-Plate

접시

-Cup of jelly and spoon

잼이 들어있는 컵과 숟가락

-Trash bag

쓰레기 봉투

-Meter stick

1 미터 자

Procedure:

실험방법 및 순서:

1. Tape down trash bag.

쓰레기봉투를 바닥에 붙인다.

2. Take spoon and scoop jelly.

숟가락으로 잼을 뜬다.

3. Apply jelly on toast.

식빵에 잼을 바른다.

4. Drop it jelly side up from a meter high.

잼바른쪽이 위로향하게 1미터 높이에서 떨어뜨린다.

5. Drop it jelly side down from a meter high.

잼바른쪽이 아래를 향하게 1미터 높이에서 떨어뜨린다.

6. Put more remaining jelly on toast.

남은 잼을 더 바른다.

7. Drop it jelly side up from a meter high.

잼바른쪽이 위로 향하게 1미터 높이에서 떨어뜨린다.

8. Drop it jelly side down from a meter high.

잼바른쪽이 라래를 향하게 1미터 높이에서 떨어뜨린다.

I had an experiment called Jelly Toast Lab Activity. I drop a piece of toast that had jelly on, or a bagel that had cream cheese on often. However, I had never notice, and I didnt care what side did jellied toast usually land on when I dropped. That became my motivation to be excited about having this lab.

The purpose of this lab was to see if the toast lands jelly side up or down. I thought that if you put less jelly, then it would land jelly side up. The reason was that you are putting the jelly on only one side of the toast, so one side will heavier than the other. Therefore I thought how much jelly you put would affect the result. To prove if my hypothesis was right, I began the experiment.

First, I used the trash bag to tape it down to prevent from jellies to touch on the floor. Then I scooped the jelly and apply it on the toast by using spoon. I held the meter stick to make sure the toast would drop fr… (올림)
