- 상당히 기술적인 책이다. 더 잘 이해하기 위해 컴퓨터 이론에 대해 자료조사가 필요했다.

3.0 out of 5 stars interesting but repetitive

"This started out as an interesting explanation if Web 3.0, but soon became gushing and more than a little fantastical. No doubt much of what is in this book is possible, but the underlying assumption in the book is that it is also desirable. The fact that they chose to quote Margaret Atwood at the end made me think that they are oblivious to irony.
Perhaps I am too cynical, but while the authors truly believe that a better future is a digitally enhanced future, there is much evidence to prove that the opposite is true. For example, the authors lavish praise on digital music streaming services and how consumers overcame closed systems etc. This may have been a triumph for the consumer, but these services have throttled grassroots creativity as creative product becomes sold as someone else’s service. The authors would then no doubt point towards the blockchain etc, but I remain cynical where controlling interests are threatened, they tend to fight back.
An interesting point I read somewhere was that the invention of the internet has had a much less effect on productivity and lifestyles as the invention of the washing machine. Therefore when I read a book like this that is so focussed on creating a better world purely through digital technology I worry that some very real-world solutions can be overshadowed by the hype and the buzz. Do we really want to live in a more digital world? I don’t, if anything I’d like to live in a much less digital one. One of the greatest factors in poor mental health is lack of control in your environment. It’s hard to see how surrendering more control to advanced AI is a positive thing.
So food for thought, but a lot of it I’m not going to swallow."
