5The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
7Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you."
- P43
8So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
9Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him.
10Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."
- P43
The two women are greeted with an opened tomb. At first, we maythink that the stone was rolled away so that the resurrected Jesus could exit.
However other places in the Gospels reveal that Jesus‘ resurrected bodycan move through closed doors and walls. The angel did not roll the stoneso that Jesus could come out but so others could go in. - P44
The empty tombreveals that Jesus is exactly who He said He was. He is not just a prophet orpopular teacher and healer. He is the Son of God who was raised from thedead and has completed what the Father sent Him to do. We rememberthat the substance of our faith is real-based on eyewitness testimony andcarefully recorded through the generations so that we might know andexperience the joy of our salvation!- P44
