2"Do you see all these things?" he asked. "Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."

3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you.

9"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.

10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,

11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.

- P95
Jesus’ disciples point out to Him the magnificent buildings of the temple. He tells them that a time will come when all those will be destroyed. Later, the disciples privately ask Jesus for more details about what He said. Jesus tells them what will happen in the last days: false messiahs, wars, famines, and earthquakes will come. As our world spins out of control, Jesus says we are not to be alarmed. These things, He tells us, are the beginning of birth pains. - P96
At the end, there will be the joy of new creation and new life. For Christians, the end of this world is the beginning of the promised age to come.- P96
We are easily captivated by things that hold little eternal value. Let us takeintentional breaks from social media to quiet the constant voices of advertisers,
promoters, and influencers. In that stillness, let us ask God to reveal what Hedesires for us to pursue.
- Pastor Sam An- P97
Lord Jesus, set my mind and heart on the things above. Grant me the wisdom to recognize how transitory and fleeting the things of this world are, and the courage and discipline to seek that which is eternal. In Your name I pray, amen.- P97
