When we are not connected to the Lord, we may try to find security in some other person or thing. However, this leaves us vulnerable. We also end up disconnected from other believers. There is no better protector and leader than the Lord because He loves and cares for us.- P44
Last month, I purposefully set aside extra time in prayer and reflection toconsider some upcoming major life decisions. I did what I could to adjustmy schedule to make space for these intentional moments with the Lord. Iwoke up a little earlier, fasted a meal, or took short prayerful walks duringthe day. I often began by listening to a worship song to help focus my mindand heart on Him, and although I did offer my prayer requests to the Lord,
I was surprised by what I discovered at the end of that month.- P45
