양자역학의 법칙에 의식의 비밀이 숨어있을지도 모른다는 펜로즈의 생각은 큰 지지를 받지는 못하고 있다. <세계 그 자체>에서 울프 다니엘손이 언급했던 '의식 현상을 포괄하는 물리학'이 혹시 펜로즈의 생각을 염두에 둔 것일까 하는 생각을 문득 해본다.
