빨간망토는 유괴에 대한 경각심을 깨우쳐주기 위한 단순한 동화처럼 보이지만, 아만다 사이프리드 주연의 판타지 공포 영화 '레드 라이딩 후드'와 그 원작소설에서도 느낄 수 있듯이 다양한 형태의 해석과 상상이 가능한 이야기입니다.
이 책에는 원작의 내용 외에도 '그 후 이야기'라고 하여 빨간망토가 다른 늑대를 만났을 때 할머니와 함께 어떻게 대처했는지를 보여주는 부분이 특히 재밌습니다.
