20260222.그 시작은 쿠팡사태였다고나 할까?탈팡 전에 쿠팡플레이에만 있는 영화들을 봐야겠다 싶어 골랐는데아니, 이 영화 너무 좋잖아?원작이 우리 집에도 있는데 한글판은 어디 간 지 모르겠고 원서만 나왔다.물론 새 책이다. ㅋ아 영어울렁증 있는데 한번 들춰볼까? 음... 생각보다 잘 읽히네?소리 내어 읽어도 봤는데 괜찮다.그럼 필사를 해볼까?총 80개의 챕터로 되어 있어 하루에 한 챕터씩 쓰면 어떨까를 생각해 봤고, 하여 아이들 쓰다 남은 공책에 대충 끼적여봤는데 쓸만하다.단어 찾기 같은 너무 많은 에너지는 쓰지 말자, 물 흐르듯 읽어보자 했다.그래도 내가 이해한 내용이 맞는가 싶어 GPT에게 물어봤더니 해석뿐만 아니라 배경도 막 설명해 준다.오홋 신세계!게다가 각 챕터별로 영어로 3줄 요약하기를 제안한다.이것 또한 좋은 방법인 것 같아 매일 읽고 요약하기를 해보기로 했다.
살면서 영어원서를 끝까지 읽어본 적이 있던가?게다 영작이라니.너무 오랜만이라 날것의 영어 수준이 드러나는 글이 부끄럽다.물론 막힐 때는 GPT의 도움을 받기도 했다.그러나 일단은 끝까지 해보기로.80일간의 챌린지 중 현재 26일차.매일 북플에 요약글을 올렸던 것을 챕터 20까지 모아 정리해 봤다.점점 글이 길어지는데 맥락을 이어가기 위해 몇 군데는 처음 쓴 내용에서 고쳤다.원서로 천.천.히. 읽으니 realize, curiosly, decide, feel 같은 표현을 쓰는 작가의 숨은 의도 같은 게 느껴져영화로 볼 때와는 또 다른 재미가 있다.

20260222.저자를 어디서 보고 읽고 싶은 책에 담아뒀더라... 한참을 기억을 더듬어봤다.EBS 비즈니스 리뷰였네.https://ebr.ebs.co.kr/ebrsearch?keyword=%EC%8B%A0%EC%A7%80%EC%98%81짧은 4편의 강의라 집중이 되었나 보다.뭔가 더 자세히 알고 싶어 골랐는데 강의보다는 별로였다.목차에 대부분의 내용이 다 함축되어 있다.목차 제목을 잘 지은 건가? ㅎㅎ문제점을 제시하는데 대안이나 빈약해선가 설득이 많이 되진 않았다.놀이터에서 처음 보는 두 꼬마의 몇 살이야?로 시작하는 대화를 설명하는 장면에서는 피식 웃었다.나도 어디 가면 대놓고 물어보지는 않지만 나보다 위인가 아닌가를 파악하게 되는데..나이 묻기와 서열이 우리나라가 세계 유일하다는데 그게 나쁘기만 한 걸까?관점의 차이.그래도 이제는 나이 대신 '너 이름이 뭐니?'로 시작해야지. ㅎㅎ

20260220.올해 본 영화 중 가장 인상적이고 의미 있는 영화.원작은 총 3부작으로 영화는 1부와 2부의 초반부까지란다. (원작과는 살짝 다른 결말이라는데 아직 책을 끝까지는 읽지 못했다)분명 집에 있고 북플에도 읽었다고 표시해뒀는데 영화를 보는 내내 기억이 안 난다.집에 1,2권이 있는데 어디 있는지 못 찾겠다.원서도 1권이 있네? 하여 원서를 펼쳐보기에 이르렀다. (이 이야기는 나중에 다시 하기로 하고.)로봇이지만 인간보다 더 인간적인 로즈와 브라이트 빌의 성장 스토리는 감동적이다.원작에는 그림책 작가인 피터 브라운의 삽화가 꽤 들어있는데 영화는 그 느낌 그대로를 이어갔다.3부작인데 작년에 4번째 책이 출간된 거야? 싶었는데,'와일드 로봇의 섬'은 소설을 그림책으로 만든 것이다.간결한 줄글이지만 대신 작가의 개성 있는 그림들을 컬러풀하게 만날 수 있네. 곧 만나봐야지.




모험, 모성애 같은 게 오래전 본 '엄마 까투리'나 '아름다운 비행'을 떠올리게 했다.온 가족이 같이 봐도 좋을 아주 좋은 영화.강추!

20260126.서맨사 하비의 '궤도'를 읽고 있자니 앤디 위어의 SF3부작 중 아직 읽지 않은 이 작품이 생각났고 도서관 예약했는데 다 읽을 때쯤 딱 맞춰 대출했다.692페이지, 벽돌책.허걱, 숨이 턱 막혔지만 작가의 필력은 역시 술술 읽히게 하는 힘이 있다. 초반부는.내 독서지구력 테스트용.읽어도 읽어도 제자리 같은 두께는 버겁긴 했다. 이 볼륨을 한 권으로 출판한 출판사 칭찬해~'마션'에 반하고, '아르테미스'에 실망하고, '프로젝트 헤일메리'에 다시 기대해 봤는데 그 중간쯤.문제는 내 배경지식의 소박함과 상상력의 한계 때문이겠다.'마션'은 어느 정도 알아먹었는데 '프로젝트 헤일메리'에서는 이해도가 떨어진다. 상상이 안돼...게다가 중반부 등장하는 외계인에서 으아~ 이건 내 취향이 아니다.그럼에도 결말이 궁금해 끝까지 읽긴 했다.곧 개봉을 앞두고 있으니 부족한 상상력은 영화로 메꿔봐야지.

이순옥 작가의 ‘틈만 나면‘이 너무 좋아 신간 ‘무서운 ㄱㅁㄷ‘도 기대가 됐다.
도서관 희망도서 신청한 걸 이제사 받았네.

제목을 읽을 때 기역미음디귿이라고 읽는 게 불편했는데 읽고 나면 ‘괴물들‘이란 걸 알게 된다.
헌데 괴물들 말고 왜 ㄱㅁㄷ 이라고 했을까?
분명 다른 뜻도 있을 것 같은데 내 상상력이 그에 미치지 못하는 것 같은...
어른들이야 그림 휘리릭 텍스트 더 휘리릭 읽고 말테지만 아이들과는 한 페이지에 여러가지 이야깃거리가 많다.
이보나 흐미엘레프스카의 ‘생각하는 ㄱㄴㄷ‘과 한글을 소재로 했다는 점에서 비슷하다.
아...이제 우리 아이들과는 너무 거리가 멀어져 안타깝네.
오랜만에 예전의 아이들을 상상하며 봤다
이 책도 좋아했지만, 말놀이 면에서는 ‘뽀끼뽀끼~‘를 넘을 수가 없지.
아이들이 ‘그림없는 책‘스타일의 말놀이도 참 좋아했었는데... 그때의 너희들은 어디 간거니?

20260109.올해 첫 독서는 핫한 '김 부장' 시리즈다.사실 책은 이미 핫했었는데 드라마로 다시 회자되는 것 같다.우연히 옆에 '김 부장'이 있어서 들었는데 그냥 후딱 읽게 되어 드라마와 책까지 정주행하게 되었다.읽고 있던 '궤도'는 잠시 뒤로.가독성 완전 울트라 캡숑이다.그런데 뭐하나 허투루인 게 없다.나 책 많이 읽었네? 성취감도 느낄 수 있게 해주는 건 덤이다.
1권은 읽으면서 류승룡 배우와의 싱크로율과 드라마와 비교하는 재미가 있었다.'제2의 미생'이라는 수식어가 붙던데 (내 인생 드라마) '미생'에서의 직장인들의 애환보다는 레알 꼰대 김 부장의 모습을 나나 남편도 닮아있지 않나 되돌아보게 된다.이 시리즈의 진짜는 3권 송 과장의 이야기다.어쩐지 작가 본인의 이야기가 아닐까 싶었는데 맞네 맞아,엊그제 '구해줘 홈즈'에 출연한 작가의 이야기에서 알 수 있었다.부동산과 주식 투자를 권장하는 의도는 없다고 서문에 썼지만 이 책을 읽으면 아, 부동산과 주식을 해야 하지 않을까 싶어진다.이 책이 문학이 아닌 도서관 분류기호가 3번인 이유도 여기에 있다.재미와 감동, 그리고 깨알 경제정보가 들어있다.송 과장은 열심히 공부하고 발로 뛴 건 알겠는데 어떻게? 시험공부처럼 '족보' 좀 나눠줬음 좋겠네.너무 날로 먹으려고 하는 건가? ㅋ
드라마는 1권까지의 이야기다.정대리, 권사원, 그리고 송 과장 이야기도 드라마로 나와도 재미있겠다.책보다 더 '꼰대'스러운 드라마의 김 부장이 불편했는데, 마지막엔 좀 안쓰러웠다.그 옆, 명세빈이 분했던 '박하진'의 태도는 좀 배워야겠다.드라마 OST 중 이적이 부른 (정재형의 느낌이 아주 제대로 나는) 주제가가 드라마를 더 돋보이게 했다.
