[...] Another notable sign ist that on January 11, 1524, the Large Council took over from the Small Council the authority to judge sermons. This measure was not rescinded until August 1527, after the opponents to the Reformation and the aristocratic pension receivers─among them Jacob Grebel, who was executed on October 30, 1526─had been eased out.
독일어 원문: Wie in anderen von Zünften beherrschten Städten fand die Reformation im Großen Rat stärkeren Rückhalt als im Kleinen, [...] Kennzeichnend ist ferner, daß der Große Rat am 11. Januar 1524 vom Kleinen Rat die Kompetenz übernahm, Predigten zu beurteilen. Man traute dem Kleinen Rat nicht. Erst im August 1527 wurde diese Maßnahme wieder rückgängig gemacht, nachdem die Reformationsgegner und aristokratischen Pensionennehmer, unter ihnen Jakob Grebel (hingerichtet am 30. Oktober 1526), ausfeschlachtet worden waren.
